CSC Public Sector Account Executive

Position Summary

Establishes new public sector clients (state/local govt., K-12 & hi-ed). Cultivates additional business with existing public sector clients. Coordinates with the VP Operations, Director Network Services and CSC Engineers. Reports to the President.

Specific Duties

  • Forecasts and manages their quarterly CSC sales objectives
  • Prepares action plans to accomplish sales objectives
  • Performs a wide variety of administrative duties
    (i.e., sales quotations, vendor and client communications)
  • Complete training objectives as assigned to stay current with emerging technology
  • Perform such other duties as may be temporarily or permanently assigned
  • Follow a thorough planning and follow-through process for all aspects of the job

Qualification Requirements

  • At least two years of professional experience performing the duties described above
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritize and critical listening skills
  • Both logical and creative problem solving ability
  • Proven communication skills, patience, and the ability to convey technical subject matter in an easy to understand fashion
  • Highly organized, with a proven ability to forecast, plan, implement, & follow up
  • Proven ability to work in and contribute to a team
  • Proven commitment to excellence, integrity, and professionalism in Customer Service

Help Desk Network Technician

Position Summary

Provide remote Workstation, Server, Network Infrastructure, and IT consulting services to CSC clients. Handle level one telephone and email technical support requests. Work with Systems/Network Engineering team to escalate and schedule work as needed. Perform proactive remote monitoring and remediation for client networks. Reports to the Director of Network Services, and assists the Network Services team and Warranty Services team when needed.

Specific Duties

  • Respond to client telephone and email technical support requests (TSR)
  • Perform remote work as assigned by Director or Engineering Team
  • Assist in keeping client infrastructure documentation up to date
  • Perform system assembly and software installation for new client equipment
  • Accurately complete call logging and service orders for proper billing
  • Assist sales team through research and gathering client technical data
  • Work independently and with fellow team members to achieve utilization objectives
  • Follow a thorough planning and follow-through process for all aspects of the job
  • Complete training objectives as assigned to stay current with emerging technology
  • Perform such other duties as may be temporarily or permanently assigned

Qualification Requirements

  • At least two years of experience performing the major duties described above
  • Basic proficiency in Windows server/client infrastructures, Macintosh OSX, and major software applications
  • At least one technical certification that provides the knowledge and skill to perform the major duties described above. (i.e. A+, Network +, MCTS, etc)
  • A strong work ethic and capacity to self motivate
  • Excellent communication (telephone) skills, patience, and the ability to convey technical subject matter in an easy to understand fashion
  • Both logical and creative problem solving ability (no scripts)
  • Highly organized, with a well formed ability to forecast, plan, implement, & follow up
  • Innate ability to work in and contribute to a team

Network Engineer

Position Summary

Provide Server, Workstation, Network Infrastructure, Transport, and IT consulting services to CSC clients.  Handle client technology integration and turn IT needs into fully managed solutions.  As needed, communicates with other CSC employees, clients and vendors.  Reports to the Director of Network Services, and assists the Business Development team.

Specific Duties

  • Consult with our clients in all aspects of technology
  • Recommend, plan, and implement IT infrastructure components
  • Diagnose and repair networks, operating systems, and applications
  • Prepare and submit a variety of operational documents in a timely manner
  • Work independently and with fellow team members to achieve utilization objectives
  • Follow a thorough planning and follow-through process for all aspects of the job
  • Support the CSC process for retaining present clients and for acquiring future clients
  • Complete training objectives as assigned to stay current with emerging technology
  • Perform such other duties as may be temporarily or permanently assigned

Qualification Requirements

  • At least three years of experience performing the major duties described above
  • Proficiency in Windows server/client infrastructures, and at least one of the following; Macintosh OSX, Linux, Cisco networking, or software development (i.e. .Net Programming, advanced scripting, web development, etc)
  • At least two technical certifications that provide the knowledge and skill to perform the major duties described above.  (i.e. MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, ACTC, CCNA, Network +, etc)
  • A strong work ethic and capacity to self motivate
  • Excellent communication (people) skills and ability to read any situation and react
  • Highly organized, with a well formed ability to forecast, plan, implement, & follow up
  • Innate ability to work in and contribute to a team
  • Demonstrated ability and interest in mastering new and emerging technologies
  • Commitment to excellence, integrity, and professionalism in Customer Service
